The Desmond House | Redding Bed & Breakfast

testimonials

I loved this place. The innkeeper Greg is a very welcoming, authentic person (meaning, he’s very much himself). He is extremely helpful and sociable when you want it, and leaves you alone when you don’t. He keeps the place very clean. There is a small well kept back yard with a hot tub and sauna and a huge tree great for summer shade. The whole feeling there was relaxed and happy. For me one of the very best features is the location right on the river. Greg lets you use his nice bicycle and it’s a short easy ride to the Sundial Bridge. There are paved riding trails past the bridge along the river too.
If you haven’t stayed at the Desmond House, you are missing out on one of the greatest experiences in Northern California! It is the quaintest little place with excellent service. The house is beautiful. You have to stay at the Desmond House! Make it your next stop. You will be so impressed!
It is rare that while traveling you find a place that is as comfortable and restful as your own home. The Desmond House is a true haven, a home away from home, a place that refreshes the spirit and mind as well as the body. It’s beautifully furnished with fine antique furniture and wonderful light fixtures. Greg, the Innkeeper, has spent countless hours searching, rebuilding and refinishing each piece. But for me the best part of the stay is the peace and rest found within. It’s quite amazing to have found such a wonderful home and friend. I recommend and encourage you to visit the Desmond House.
